Quick Start

Get up and running with SquirrelDisk in minutes

Download SquirrelDisk

Visit the releases page and download the installer for your operating system:
  • Windows: .exe installer
  • macOS: .dmg disk image
  • Linux: .deb package (Ubuntu/Debian)
The binaries are not code-signed. You may need to bypass security warnings on first launch.

Install and Launch

Run the installer and open SquirrelDisk. On macOS, right-click and select Open twice to bypass Gatekeeper. On Windows, click “More Information” then “Run Anyway” if Windows Defender appears.

Scan Your Disk

Select a disk or folder from the main screen and click Scan. SquirrelDisk uses parallel scanning powered by Rust to analyze your disk in seconds.Watch the progress bar as SquirrelDisk traverses your file system and builds a complete map of disk usage.

Explore and Clean Up

Navigate the interactive sunburst chart to explore what’s taking up space. Drag files and folders to the deletion area to clean up your disk — it’s that simple.
